New CCTV was installed in 2022 with a capital grant from the BID.

Until now there has been no CCTV covering the entrance to K9 Estate and several incidents have highlighted a need for better security.

Two cameras have been installed and as with all security assets, if BID levies are used to full or part-fund the CCTV that covers public spaces, then the BID has access to the footage and can use it to better track criminal behaviour and support police prosecutions.

Individual estates are encouraged to increase their CCTV coverage and apply to the BID for grant funding.

Grant funding contributions to individual businesses, estates or industrial parks are subject to availability and conditions.  The application form (worksheet 1) and explanatory notes (worksheet 2) can be downloaded here.
